The mailbox center is in and ready for business. As of May 1, 2007 the Post Office now delivers to Hawks Nest. As a Hawks Nest Homeowner you can purchase a mailbox with a $25.00 key deposit and a physical address. Back to Top ^
Hello Hawks Nest Owner,
I am pleased to announce that the 2007 Hawks Nest Budget has been approved by the Board of Directors. The new Home Owners Association dues will be $241.36 per year. This fee covers some of the items associated with general maintenance and upkeep of the common areas throughout the subdivision. In addition, we will begin grading and spreading additional gravel on all the roads from lots 1 - 92. This will be completed by March 2007, weather permitting. The post office will be breaking ground in February 2007, again weather permitting. Each resident will have the convenience of being able to pick up their mail at the community park. No more drives down the mountain into Burnsville or Barnardsville. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at my home in Hawks Nest.

Hawks Nest has finally obtained approval to install a set of free-standing lock mailboxes near the community entrance. Thank you to all of the residents who have worked for years in support of this measure by petitioning the Burnsville post office to provide this necessary service. More details to come in the near future as we hope to utilize this service as quickly as possible. Back to Top ^
Partnering with Artemis IT to provide a new host of services and features, Hawk's Nest launches a new website aimed at getting homeowners more connected and involved in their community and the variety of activities, artists and commerce therein.

In the near future there are considerations to gate and pave some of the existing streets. Work has begun on an estate section were lots will be 2.5 acres or larger. Work has begun on building the community park area. Ideas are being considered for an amenity area for the new phases. Substantial landscaping and road upgrading is currently underway. There are also several homes in the Architectural Review Board waiting approval to begin construction soon. Back to Top ^
